Some images have French messages, don’t worry, there is a translation in the caption.
They all bring a message that I believe is worth sharing. Click on the links below to get directly to the related pictures:

1. Reflexions, personal development, spiritual awareness
“When the blood of your veins will come back to the sea, when the earth of your bones will come back to the soil, then maybe you will remember that this Earth doesn’t belong to you, but it’s you who belongs to this Earth”
“We will have to answer to our true vocation, which is not to produce and consume endlessly, but to love, admire and care about life in all its forms”
“Willing to change begins with changing how we look at things”
Happiness is the harmony with what you think, what you say, and what you do
“Our power doesn’t lie in our capacity to rebuild the world, but in our ability to recreate ourselves”
“There is no uncivilized people. There only exists people of different civilizations”
“The true value of a human being is firstly determined to the extent to which s-he could get free from her/his ego”
“From now on, the highest, the most beautiful performance that humankind will have to achieve will be to meet its vital needs with the most simple and healthy means. Cultivate a garden or participating in any activity that creates autonomy will be considered a political act, an act of legitimate resistance to the dependency and the enslavment of human condition”
“A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”
People tend to suffer from the known rather than getting into the unknown even if this could contain the solutions to their problems.
“The biggest mistake of our time has been to bend human’s spirit toward the search of material goods. We have to lift up human’s spirit, to bring it to consciousness, beauty, justice, truth, altruism. There only you will find peace with mankind and with it, society.”
“You will see clear only when you will look into yourself. The one who look outside dreams, the one who looks inside awakens”.
“A tree that we put down makes a lot of noice. A forest growing doesn’t make any”
“The only way to behave with a non-free world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence becomes an act of rebellion” Albert Camus
2. Politics and Governance
Behind the queue: “Where do we go?” “I have no idea, people in front should know” People in front: “Where do we go?” “I don’t know, ask to those who are pushing us!”
I like how similar this photo is with the one of the French revolution
“The vote by sortition is the nature of democracy, the vote by election is the nature of aristocracy”. Montesquieu
“Everbody knew it was impossible. It came an idiot who didn’t know it and did it”
“Our country, Iceland, is a country where we let banks fail and we took care of our citizens. And it worked.” “The theory that says you should pay to save banks is a theory according to which banks can benefit from their success while citizens have to pay for their failures by means of taxes and austerity. In enlightened democracies, people won’t accept it in the long run. “
“Voter” – “Vote” – “Result”
“Promoting hydraulic fracturing to replace coal and oil is like promoting alcolism to help stop smoking!”
3. Food, Agriculture and Environment
Species extinction, rivers pollution, oceans pollution, atmospher pollution, forest destruction, soil destruction. Now who brings the world toward a stoneage? Ecologists or the consumer society?
A lot of similar lists are shared on the web concerning Monsanto. Yet I’ve never seen any article providing sources to prove this. If you have some, please share with us.
4. Banks and Economy
“No airbags, no electronics, no worries. Almost. Before laughing at my car, start with finishing to pay the credit of yours!”
Now that we caught your attention note that: Every minute French public debt interests equals 89 000€. This is almost 47 billion euros each year, out of a total debt of 1 818 000 000 000€ (1 818 billion euros). Read more about art. 123 of the Lisbon Treaty: http://tiny.cc/Art123Lisbon
Once, I’ve been asked: “You are a wise man, why aren’t you rich?” I replied: “You are a rich man, why aren’t you wise?”
“This bulb is switched on for more than 100 years. It was built before planned obsolescence. It survived several webcams. Welcome to the asburd world of profit.”
“Control oil and you will control nations. Control food and you will control people. Control money and you will control the world”
“By essence, the ex nihilo money creation that banks practice is similar to money creation by counterfeiters that are rightfully repressed by law. Concretely, it leads to the same results. The only difference is that those who benefit from it are different.”
“Modern civilization is the most fragile of all human history. No more electricity, no more oil, no more telecommunications, and the whole civilization collapses. It is based on nothing at all. Progress doesn’t bring freedom. Some progress has brung a relative well being. But this wellness is not necessarily shared. Humanity has to ask itself: “Progress, to do what?” And before that: “What is living?”. If it is to consume, I don’t call this living, this is totally useless. We have become hordes of shopping cart pushers. This is terrifying to me. We came back to neolithic, we are gatherers, we pass by shelves and pick. This is not good. We spoke about degrowth which is considered as an abomination nowadays: questioning growth! In Middle-Eve I would have been burnt right away!”
Behind an apparent variety of choices, our money as consumers goes to only a few companies. Information is key.
“Whoever thinks exponential growth can continue endlessly in a finite world is either a fool or an economist”
5. Societal considerations
“When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I will be older. I said “Happy”. They told me I didn’t understand the question. I replied they didn’t understand Life.”
“Television is a kind a factual monopole on the conditioning of the brain of a very important part of the population. Yet, putting the stress on news items, filling precious times with emptiness, nothing or almost nothing, we put aside the pertinent information that citizens should have to practice their democratic rights” Pierrie Bourdieu, French sociologist
“Forgetting the past is erasing what united us before”
Love is key
“People loose their health to earn money, and then loose their money to recover their health. They think about the future until they forget the present. As a result, they don’t live neither in the present nor in the future. In the end, they live as if they were never going to die, and they die like they never actually lived.
Child: “My project? Being happy” Director: “Utopists are not welcome in our school!”
“We have many more channels!”. In French, “chain” is the same word for “channel”
“It’s the story of a falling society, and, during its fall, keeps repeating to itself: “so far, everything is fine, so far everything is fine” so to be reassured. But what matters is not the fall, it’s the landing. “
“Reading (books) is an open door to democracy and liberty. “
Left: Classical supermarket. Right: Free shop, food to share. Owner of the left shop says: “Unfair competition!”
People on the side of the road are: fake friends, your family, society, the pessimistics, fear and culpability. The end of the road is your goals.
“In a world where everybody cheats, the true person looks like an impostor”
Left: current situation (red is money). Middle: money isn’t a necessity anymore Right: When a basic income is guaranteed (blue is personal development). See http://basicincome2013.eu/

“A big dose of jokes every morning, one or two fine pranks after each meal, and a good comic movie once a week. And above all, avoid the TV news”
“I’m sorry Mr Wood but nowadays nobody takes money from the rich to give it to the poor anymore”. “However I can give you a training to do exactly the contrary”
